"myspace sucks" well, yes. However, that's besides the point. myspace has become the de facto place to check out bands, so lacking at least a cursory myspace presence is a detriment. People are going to look for you there. Best if you are there. (Contrary to popular belief, you are not required to put up a background that makes your text illegible.) Unlike Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, they don't go well together. I've skipped many bands because I didn't have the option to review their stuff at my leisure. Bingo on the 'tapers' tax.'
